Types and Definitions

Vee Packings are multiple-lip sealing elements comprised of a top ring or female adaptor, a bottom ring or male adaptor and center rings or chevrons . (Chevrons) or center rings are the primary pressure or sealing element in the set, with both top and bottom rings in place to guide your centers and make them sturdy. V-packing is used still today in new manufactured cylinders and is a very good choice also for worn cylinder bores and rods.

V-Packing Materials

Bergman Specialty Products is able to offer you a wide range of sizes and materials. Materials for different pressures and applications. Neoprene or homogenous v-rings are primarily designed for pneumatic service or lower pressure air, and Neoprene or Nitrile and fabric are for higher pressure applications.

Bergman Specialty can offer you v-sets in many different materials in both standard and metric sizes up to 100 inches. Materials we offer are Buna, Epdm, viton, Teflon in bronze filled, carbon filled, and glass filled. Don't worry about those prototype builds, or getting the right seal with the right preload, as we only need your metal dimensions to build that proper seal for you.
